Quakertown Borough sponsors a summer recreational camp for children ages 7—12 from June-August. The program is K.I.D.S.— Kids Involved Doing Something. The K.I.D.S. Camp is held from Monday – Friday 9am – 3:30pm.

Residents will be charged $50 per week/per child, and non-residents will be charged $100 per week/per child. Registration will become available April 3rd. If you have any questions about the registration process, please contact Parks & Recreation at 215-536-5001.

General Information
  • K.I.D.S. was started by former Quakertown Community School District physical education teacher, Jane Stover. The program was initiated for the children of the community to have a safe, creative and entertaining summer experience.
  • We are very proud that our program was once featured in National Geographic’s World Magazine!
  • Our counselors are former program participants who have grown up with the K.I.D.S. Camp.
  • They volunteer to participate in our Counselor-in-Training (CITs) program, and after completing the training program they may be hired as a counselor.
  • By having children grow up in the program and move into the program as counselors, it gives them a unique opportunity to make the program their own and one of a kind.
  • The imagination of our counselors and the enthusiasm of the children is what keeps our camp going strong.
  • Children have the opportunity to participate in all types of events; crafts, board games, outdoor games, special themes, and paper & box mazes!!
  • It’s a complete summer of fun, and we would love for you to be a part of it.
  • Each week has a special theme.
  • Often the counselors will dress up as characters that the children are familiar with.
  • Special games are played, skits are acted out, and children are escorted through very cool mazes!
