Quakertown Borough sponsors a summer recreational camp for children ages 7—12 from June-August. The program is K.I.D.S.— Kids Involved Doing Something. K.I.D.S. Camp is held from Monday – Friday 9am – 3:30pm.
Residents will be charged $50 per week/per child, and non-residents will be charged $100 per week/per child. Registration will become available March 1, 2019.
Before and After Camp Care
New in 2019 – K.I.D.S. Camp will be offering Before and After Camp care. The child must be enrolled in camp for the same days as they wish to be enrolled in Before and/or After Camp. Before camp begins at 7:30am and carries into the start of the regular camp day of 9:00am. Campers may NOT be dropped off earlier than 7:30am. After camp begins at the end of the camp day at 3:30pm and runs until 5:00pm. Campers MUST be picked up by 5:00pm. Late pick ups will result in an automatic fee added to your account. If the fee is not paid by the next day, access to camp will not be granted. More than three occurrences of lateness may result in removal of the After Camp Program.
Registration
Registration is based on individual camp weeks, and will be open until noon the Friday before camp starts. Payments for the fees can either be paid by credit card on QuakertownRec.com, or after registering online, can pay offline by cash or check at Borough Hall. There is a no refund policy for the K.I.D.S. Camp.
Financial Assistance
New in 2019 – K.I.D.S. Camp received a grant from the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs Charities. With this grant, the Borough will offer a Financial Assistance Program designed as a “Helping Hand” for those in financial need. Financial assistance may be extended to individuals or families experiencing extreme temporary or long-term financial hardship based on income and family size. Applications can be downloaded from Quakertown.org/kidscamp. Financial Assistance is run on a case by case basis.
Field Trips
Each week K.I.D.S. Camp will offer field trips for the campers. Trips have a limited number of spots, and run on a first come first served basis. Trip registration will be available the week prior to the trip date and must be submitted and paid for the Friday prior to the trip.
